Last minute Christmas Shopping?

I always leave Christmas shopping till the last minute.

When I am in Sicily, it’s because the cafes subversively waft smells out to distract everyone into eating this lot:

When I am in England, it’s because of this:

In the end, I always resort to last-minute shopping online.

So if you’re in the same boat, how about this for a gift idea?

It’s a new, full-colour edition of the bestselling Sicilian card games book.

There are 3 extra games in this gift edition which are not included in the black and white original.

It’s a larger format (8 x 10 inches).

There’s an expanded history of the origins of Sicilian card playing.

All the games are explained in the same clear style, with photos to make it even clearer.

Amazon can have it on your doorstep before Christmas, plus a pack of Sicilian playing cards as well.

However, if you love someone, but not enough to splash out on colour printing, the original black-and-white bestseller is still for sale at only $6.99 or ÂŁ4.50.

We have a holiday home in Noto so regularly go to Sicily. Rolled around laughing at your book whilst reading on the beach this summer.

What’s so funny is that when you go to Sicily a lot you can really see and understand all the things you talk about going on all around you. My neighbour who is also English thoroughly enjoyed it as well def made her chuckle.
I am enjoying your tips on places to visit as they are not very good at advertising all the beautiful places to see. More of your books to read over xmas and new year, can’t wait

Do they really make manger scenes to eat or am I misunderstanding the picture?

Yes that is exactly what they do!
This one is white chocolate inside a panettone, but they also use marzipan and other foods. My all time favourite was carved in a Parmesan cheese about two feet wide with a mountain full of shepherds and a huge range of animals. It was absolutely amazing.
